What does an agent earn from a sale?

Search any suburb in Australia or New Zealand. We use the suburb's median house price where a free public figure exists, or you can enter the price yourself, then break down what the agent and the agency earn.

How this is calculated
  • Commission per sale = sale price × commission rate.
  • Agent's share = commission × agent split. Agency's share is the rest.
  • Office sales per year = agents in office × sales per agent.
  • Yearly figures assume every sale is at the price shown. GST, marketing fees and franchise levies are not taken into account.
